Accessibility

This site should work for everyone.

I build zonkelmedia.com to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, and check it on phones and with a keyboard. It isn't perfect, and if anything gets in your way, I want to hear about it.

What's in place

• A "Skip to content" link as the first stop for keyboard and screen-reader users
• Every link, button and form field reachable and usable with a keyboard
• Real headings on every page, so screen readers can jump section to section
• Text descriptions on images that carry meaning; decorative images are hidden from screen readers
• Form fields with visible labels and plain-English error messages
• Text sized and colored to be readable on a phone in daylight
• The custom cursor and most animations switch off when your device asks for reduced motion

What isn't perfect yet

• The booking calendar and the chat window are run by outside services, so their accessibility is partly out of my hands. If either gives you trouble, call or text instead and I will book you myself.
• Screenshots of client websites in the portfolio are pictures of those sites. The live sites are linked so you can visit them directly.
